These 100% all natural loose powder eyeshadows are made with clays and minerals and should not irritate even the most sensitive skin.
If you've never used loose eyeshadows before, don't fear! For dry skin apply either eye-safe cream, foundation or one of our moisturizing facial oils sparingly to the eyelid just prior to applying as this will help the eyeshadow stick to the eyelid, lasting longer than without. Oily skin types usually need no moisturizer. Loose powders are easy to use, fun to mix colours and because there are no added oils or other ingredients they will last for years!

THE COMPANY
Lyrae's Naturals started making their own salves, handmade soaps and body care products years ago because of concerns over the use of synthetic chemicals whose safety had not been adequately tested. At the time the few natural alternatives on the market were far too expensive for someone on a university student's budget, so Lyrae began to make her own using her background in chemistry, biology and environmental ethics as well as her immense passion for plants. She started selling extra stock at the local Farmer's Market to help cover the cost of materials and the immediate success of these sales led her to expand her product line and turn her hobby into a business. Lyrae's Naturals has a very strong commitment to the environment, health and the safety of our children. Therefore all items they make are locally manufactured using 100% all natural ingredients and they put their ingredients on every product they sell whether required or not, so that the consumer can make an informed decision.

INGREDIENTS
Vegetable Oils - Lyrae's Naturals never uses petroleum based oils nor animal fats in any of their products. They use mostly olive oil because it tends to be grown with the fewest chemicals of any of the oil crops and is the least likely to be genetically engineered. They never use artificially hydrogenated vegetable oils or canola or soybean oil because of concerns over high levels of pesticide residues and because these are increasingly being altered from their natural state by genetic engineering, which has not undergone adequate safety testing for either the consumer or the environment.
Herbs, Essential Oils and More - Lyrae's Naturals always uses herbs that are ethically wildcrafted (harvested in a manner to minimize the impact on the species and the environment) or are organically grown (may not be certified as some are grown by local organic farmers who cannot afford the certification process) if they are available. Despite their popularity, they will often refuse to use certain herbs or essential oils that are endangered species or are subjected to unethical harvesting practices in the wild, such as Rosewood and Sandalwood.

FRAGRANCES
Only 100% pure essential oils are used, never synthetic substitutes.

PACKAGING AND SHOP ETHICS
All packaging used is recyclable, and wherever possible cardboard packing boxes and packing materials are re-used. All paper used is either recycled or tree-free. The use of plastics is minimized wherever possible; PVC plastic and Aluminum metals are never used.
